The City of Raleigh has teamed up with the American Cancer Society to offer special edition pink garbage carts! Five dollars of the sale of every pink cart goes to support the Society's breast cancer awareness programs. The carts are available in three sizes: 35, 64, and 96 gallons. Yesterday, the City unveiled our first two electric vehicle charging stations! These two stations are both downtown, located across from the Avery C. Upchurch Government Complex. During the next several months, you will begin to see more and more charging stations popping up. There are plans for a total of thirty stations to be installed throughout the City by next September! Next year, Raleigh will have our 29th Fire Station! Council recently voted to approve the plan, design, and construction of the new fire station. The new fire station will be located near the Harrington Grove Subdivision on Leesville Road. Our firefighters do a tremendous job and we are thrilled to welcome them to a new home in Northwest Raleigh!
